\r\nOne Way Mirror is a new band in the extreme sound but its members are the experienced musicians Guillaume Bideau (Mnemic), David and Franck Potvin (Lyzanxia, Phaze I), Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork) and Loic Colin (Scarve, Watcha). The music in their debut album which is released through Metal Blade, is modern. Even though it’s not something special it’s got a freshness of rejuvenation. The first listen you have on the album brings in mind the In Flames album Reroute To Remain while we can read the influences of Mnemic and Soilwork. Besides that we can trace many Nu Metal elements. At times when they let go of the quick outbursts and go through melodic passages they even sound like Linkin Park in a more personal style. Other than that the band is melodic, and the tracks are most of all catchy while everything about them is easy to listen to. The strongest feature of One Way Mirror is the short riffs which made me pretty curious of how they would sound like live. We are not facing an album that’s going to change anything in the extreme sound but yet it’s good album which has many to offer to those who enjoy such styles of music. \r\n
