Powers Court - The Red Mist Of Endenmore
Powers Court exist for 12 years and surely are known to a very limited number of fans that are into classic Power Metal. They are from the US and The Red Mist Of Endenmore is their third full-lenght album. The group tries to do something unique which in my opinion, if it was more well presented it would be beautiful. They try to present Power/Progressive Metal that is escorted by a darker black atmosphere, something I believe doesn’t work out for two reasons. Firstly because their sound and the production on the whole isn’t the best we have heard and secondly because the vocals need major improvement as in their present state are at least funny. From then on, we listen to many riffs with boring and indifferent follow ups and we have some Thrash parts here and there to break the monotony. Indifferent melodies and fuuny "catchy" parts are the main attraction while instead of a dark feeling we realise we lost precious time of our life. It should be mentioned that the songs are fast and ment to sound technical but unfortunately they don’t... The cherry on the top is the really bad and flat production that makes things even worse. The Red Mist Of Endenmore is on of the most indifferent albums I’ve heard the last period. I hope next time the band will be improved although it seems highly unlikely...
