\r\nThe first thing that made me impression in this release is the very careful work with regard to all package, which is also a self-financed sponsoring. The second thing is the very ugly and simple cover, which sure does not reflect what we hear in the album. Beyond aesthetic nature concerns, we must go to the music of Nail, which is interesting enough and with still few effort and work will become exceptional. The band comes from Canada and this here is their debut album thanks to which they hope that soon they will also find a record label. The members of Nail until recently they played in a band called Helix and I report this, because perhaps some might know them. The music that we hear in the album has its roots in Progressive Rock/Metal, but things are not so simple. In the all tracks we hear influences from bands such as Tool, Ozzy Osbourne (mainly in the guitar parts) and of course from Rush. The main influences in any case and those that we hear mostly in the album come from Dream Theater, Fates Warning etc. Nail have accomplished to compine together the technique and the melody and due to this fact there are many points that contain catchy parts, that make the listening easier and pleasant. What I liked most, is that the band does not make you feel tired, even if the songs are long in duration and also the alternations in the vocals from female to male ones and reverse make each piece have variety and not be drowned into monotony. In all these we must say that Nail have also a modern air which gives them self-confidence and courage in order to continue. It is a very good beginning, which deserves the support of those who deal with Progressive sound. Personally I will be glad to hear the next steps of the band….\r\n
