Dark Fury - Fortress of Eagles
\r\nDark Fury is\r\naffiliated with the Polish NSBM scene featuring current and ex-members of\r\nOhtar, Thunderbolt, Selbstmord and Thor’s Hammer. And if I count in Graveland as\r\nwell I must confess that all of the above Polish bands are of my favorites and\r\nDark Fury good or bad is beyond exception and gives me the same feeling of\r\ndelighted approval and liking so if any of you happen to dislike completely the\r\nbands mentioned above, due to their controversial lyrics or whatever, you\r\nbetter stop reading this review at once!! \r\n\r\n
\r\n
\r\nStarting\r\nwith the production, don’t except anything more than pure rawness here and use\r\nof simple and minimal processes while advancing to the music be prepared for nothing\r\nless than overpowering aggression and scornful hatred. The speed for the\r\nmajority of this album is mid-tempo to fast with short melodies and twisting riffs\r\nwith a flaming speed. The buzz-saw guitars create short but catchy riffs with a\r\ntrebly sound, very palpable yet agonizingly sharp. The blast beats aren’t\r\nabsent either but they overcome neither the guitars nor the vocals. The vocals\r\nare raspy and evil and fit well with the music while in the track "Nightmares"\r\nthere is also a contribution by Necro from Ohtar in the vocals section. Another\r\nelement that impresses me throughout this effort is that they sound raw and\r\nuncompromised yet they maintain a really approachable and almost seductive\r\nfeeling. \r\n

\r\n If you’re a fan of Ohtar, Capricornus/Thor’s Hammer then be sure to check this band out.And by the way it’s been quite some time now since I saw such a wonderful black and white cover art from a black metal album. \r\n
