\r\nConcealment come from Portugal and Leak is their debut album. Before that there was an EP. The band is multidimensional and manages to combine many different musical styles. The result is interesting and uninteresting at the same time as there are tracks really remarkable but there are others which are drowned in monotony and repetition. Experimantation is their main characteristic while technical playing exists in every track of the album. Their sound is contemporary and in some points they reminded me of Meshuggah, but in some other parts there was something old-fashioned, especially in fast outbursts. What makes Concealment sound tiring is that most of the songs are almost the same and that combined with the lack of melodies or catchy parts gives a really difficult and even boring album after some time. It seems that the band hasn’t cleared out its influences yet and in the album Hardcore, Progressive and Death Metal influences are spotted. In brief, Concealment have potential but they should work more on finding their identity. Their technical and interesting playing should be acknowledged but beyond that they have to find the thing that will catch listener’s attention. And since the band doesn’t fall short of technical skill, it would be unfair to be graded under 70%.\r\n
