Angel Of Eden - End Of Never
\r\nAngel Of Eden is the new band project of Artension’s guitarist Roger Stafffelbach and "End Of Never" is the beginning of his new musical branch along with a group of a most respected musicians standing by his side, including Carsten "Lizard" Schulz [Evidence One, ex Domain], Mistheria [solo, Bruce Dickinson] on the keyboards, Rami Ali [Evidence One] sitting behind the drumkit and Steve Di Giorgio [ex Testament] on the bass plus some prestigious guest appereances by John West [ex Royal Hunt/Artension], David Shankle [ex Manowar] and Ferdy Doernberg [Axel Rudi Pell]. Advancing to the music of Angel Of Eden it couldn’t be but high quality traditional power metal, developed by profound melodies and a forceful progressiveness fastened together with strong neo-classical influences withdrawn from Malmsteen’s past proportionate achievements. There are catchy guitar riffs and endless solos and virtuoso lead breaks throughout the entire album over an ostentatious guitar shredding and plenty of keyboard layers while the drums demonstrate more than just a decent and unnoticed role in the background which is a very good thing about this album. Vocals provided from both Carsten "Lizard" Schulz and John West, who take the reins in the track ’The Battle Of 1386’ are powerful and dynamic with the first one being more high-pitched while the other obtaining rather an emotional and more low profile approach. The production is excellent, so if the neo classical, progressive, guitar shredding metal accomplishments are your thing probably you will be thrilled with this one.\r\n
