Angel Witch - Tribute Album to Angel Witch

\r\nTribute albums come & go all the time. You either love them or leave them. While most bands seem to go the safe route and cover popular bands or songs. There comes a time when one must observe and show respect to true legends of Metals history and perhaps there’s no more of a legendary band than Angel Witch. So the time seemed right to conjure up a tribute to one of the heaviest bands in history and the Unbroken Metal label unleashed a gem onto the world. 15 bands where selected and songs from the first album make there appearance along with some from 2nd & 3rd albums. Now all the songs in there original form are all classics,so judging this makes it even tougher, I personally found no one butchered any versions and every bands interpritations are very respectful. Stand out songs I believe are: Extermination Day..by, Not Fragile, Something Wrong..by Witches Mark (a song even Heybourne was surprised anyone would cover) Atlantis..by Crystal Viper (with Female vocals makes this unique).One track that really stands out and is a sleeper that creeps up on you is EVIL GAMES by Never Comes Silence. When i first listened to the song I thought my cd player had changed to a My Dying Bride song. This version is the most different on the tribute and is very heavy and haunting it begins in a rather doomish style and ends with an intense Thrash/Death skull crushing mind melt. Ofcourse you can’t have an Angel Witch tribute without the songs Angel of Death (Bad Influence) and the forever sing along Angel Witch (Raising Fear). I really could mention all 15 bands here for there superb performances and I highly recommend that if ’’Your An Angel Witch’’ than this tribute belongs in your collection,and only 666 copies are printed ...so gets yours today or the Angel of Death will come to take your Soul...\r\n
