Amorphis - SILENT WATERS

Amorphis - SILENT WATERS

\r\nIve been looking forward for the new album by Amorphis with great impatience, the reason is that the previous album "Eclipse" gain the interest of the Amorphis fans also of the metal audience in general. After the departure of Pasi Koskinen and the very descent in my opinion replacement by Tomi Joutsen, the band did the surpise last year (2006) with an album that really has gain the fans good impression. And if you think that this stops after releasing the Eclipse album… you are mistken. I Dare to say that this was only the start and the release of "Silent Waters" came to assure me.\r\n

\r\n

\r\n8th studio album by the Finnish and the band seems to be in one of the best periods ever, full of inspiration and creativity. Elleven songs (10 + 1 Bonus in the digi version) and not a weak track seems to exist. Eleven tracks, with melodic riffs played by electric or accustic guitars, depressing keys and a unique way of singing by Tomi Jousten with clean and brutal vocals. The compositions really getting you by the first hearing and leave you with a bittersweet taste.
\r\nAdding the remarkable artwork to this and you got one of the best albums for the 2007 (in my opinion). If I have to choose a specific track from the album, this on will be for sure "Black River". The intro with the piano as well as the melody that follows and the guitar solo make this song, one of the best of the Album.\r\n

\r\n

\r\nThis is a release which I believe, is worth bying, especially for the fans of "Eclipse" and "Elegy" Albums
