Apostle of Solitude - Sincerest Misery
The First album for the U.S. outfit, Apostle Of Solitude is a fact and it sounds the way that many of us expected to sound, having in mind their previous E.P. in 2006
\r\nThe Album entitled “Sincerest Misery” and even from the first note, the listener realizes what is about to listen to, down tempo, soul torturing doom metal, somewhere between Trouble, Candlemass and the rest of the Doom Metal giants.
\r\nThe Cd version features eight tracks while the LP version contains also the “Embraced By The Black” EP tracks as bonus. In the process of listening the album I discover some really interesting heavy riffs, some very good melodies and melodic lines and of course the really great vocals by Chuck Brown, ex drummer of the also US doom metal outfit, The Gates OF Slumber.
\r\nThe album is out via Eyes Like Snow, a department of Northern Silence Records that specializes in Doom metal releases. There are two different LP version the Die Hard (50 copies) that contains also a t shirt and a patch of the band and the regular 2LP version (200 copies).
\r\nI strongly believe that the “Sincerest Misery” album is a release that for sure needs to be added to any metal record collection. As for the fellow doomsters the purchase of this release is something more than recommended.
