Armentar - Baptism By Hate
\r\nBelgian black metallers Armentar are releasing their debut album "Baptism By Hate" via Absorb Records. Their sound is raw black metal churning out a continuous barrage of fast, melodic, riffs. The entire album is sustained by an evil spirit, a flowing, unstoppable pace, and a great deal of aggressive virtues. The guitars even if somehow simple nevertheless remain pure and shredding creating a dynamic sharp-edged riffage. The drumlines stand pounding and heavily laden, adding pure force and frantic outbreaks in the compositions with tons of snare and tom pounding over the double bass and never showing any lack of energy. The vocals are grim and wicked wrapping up the whole feral severity of the compositions. On the other hand the atmosphere is violent and icy and the tracks are properly holding together with the instruments handling the final result with consistency. Of course the production leads rather to a demo work but nevertheless the instruments are quite audible even though still raw and disturbing to normal ears. As for me, well, I really enjoyed every minute of it. With a better production I think this fine black metal band has great potentials.\r\n
