\r\nAnother release\r\nby Open Grave Records, only this time from Germany. A.W.A.S. exist since 1999 when at the time they\r\nwere under the moniker of Torment. Today with this new (peculiar) name they release their\r\ndebut album that personally left me with an indifference thus it was the same\r\nthing either listening to it or not. The band plays (or at least tries to) a\r\ntype of Death Metal which combines so much of the Old School Death\r\nMetal as well as some newer situations referring to the\r\nSwedish scene. The result\r\ncomes with 11 tracks that pass unnoticed for the reason that the compositions have\r\nnothing to offer, since the melodies are few and where ever they happen to exist\r\nthey are incurious, the rhythmical parts are equally\r\nindifferent since we’ve heard all that stuff many times so far by many others and\r\nfinally, the moments when the band is trying to achieve extremeness and burst\r\nthings out, doesn’t manage all that well either and only gives the impression that\r\nthey play simply in order that the time passes through or just that they can say\r\nthat they did wrote something. The production is good but that doesn’t mean anything\r\ncause if substance is\r\nabsent all the rest are meaningful. Bands like this one exist in an innumerable amount\r\ntherefore dealing further with Hope it’s just a loss of time. \r\n
