Battlerage - The Slaughter Returns

Battlerage is a an Chilean outfit and in their back catalogue have already two demo releases, one Studio album, one E.P. and a live album during the 5 years of existence.
\r\nSo their two demos from 2003 (“Metal Slaughter” και “Return of the Axeman”) , now have been re-released  remixed and remastered (plus two bonus tracks) from Metal On Metal under the title “The Slaughter Returns”
\r\nI have to admit that I’ve never heard of that band before but what I ve heard from this specific release really impressed me! Straight, rough, epic power metal influenced by acts like Manowar, Manilla Road , Savage Grace and the rest of the 80’s epic metal titans. Epic riffing, epic lyrics, epic attitude and in general an epic atmosphere characterizes the whole concept of Battlerage. At this point I d like to quote that the CD I got here features a really very good cover to Omen’s “The Axe Man” plus two previously unreleased tracks “Blessed By The Axe” and the re –take of “Blessed By The Axe” in 2006.
\r\nPersonally I tasted some epic steel from this release and having in mind that the original demos of Battlerage are unavailable anywhere these days, I consider that 2009 sets of with the best possible way for the fellow epic metallers and not only
