Black Comedy - Instigator
Black Comedy - Instigator
\r\nBlack Comedy are newcomers in the metal scene and Instigator is their debut album. Two of their member’s are Tjodalv (Susperia, ex-Dimmu Borgir, ex-Old Man’s Child) and Memnock (Susperia, ex-Old Man’s Child). Hiwever don’t be fooled their music has nothing to do with the bands they come from.
\r\nBlack Comedy are into the modern sound like Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, Soilwork, In Flames (their latest works) κτλ. Truth is that at times gets caught up in its influences and in some parts it seems like they have copy pasted Fear Factory or even Soilwork. However Black Comedy have enhanced their music with diverse musical elements like the Trance spices they have. All these may sound chaotic to someone who hasn’t listened to the record but I have to say that personally I enjoyed this particular release. That’s because the band has managed to create a modern mixture which brings out a powerful and extreme effect. Maybe it’s because of the chopping rhythm riffs or the vocal lines of Jorn E. Bergan which linger between brutal and clean. Maybe it’s because of the many melodies or the rhythms in the album. Whatever the reason, fact is, that Instigator, is one of the best debut albums released by a band lately.
\r\nInstigator is an extreme modern album with many death metal elements, melodic parts in a folding of Industrial culture. Heavy sound well bonded synthesis, energy, and chaotic electronic elements which create the whole result. It’s well worth your time to find this debut album and especially in the metallic layout.
