Brainstorm - On The Spur Of The Moment

\r\n
\r\nBrainstorm is one of the few bands that managed to survive, releasing pretty interesting albums throughout the years, even though Power Metal was “on crisis” till recently and music seemed to be a result of “recycling” the same ideas. Despite the fact they still haven’t made a huge sense in the wide audience, there’s always stability and dignity in their work.\r\n

\r\n

\r\nShortly after the release of their last album, Brainstorm are back; “On The Spur Of The Moment” contributes on having a very good impression about them once more. The patters of their compositions are the same ones that we are already aware of, yet this doesn’t imply anything negative at all. In fact, this band has its very own personality, not only due to the music, but also due to the characteristic, deep, expressive voice/ singing of Andy B. Franck, who I consider as one of the best singers of the genre.\r\n

\r\n

\r\nThere are two songs that I liked the most and, actually, I listen to them over and over again: “In These Walls”, which is also the first video made from the album “On The Spur Of The Moment” and the last song as well, “My Own Hell”, which has a nostalgic essence and leaves a bittersweet taste. \r\n
