Burn Down Rome - Devotion

Burn Down Rome - Devotion

\r\nShould I say that the front cover made me curious about the music? It was the simplest cover I have ever seen.. By this point of view, then yeah, maybe I was curious of what could be inside something so minimal as this, I still couldn’t believe though that a CD could reach the stores like that! I was relieved when I saw the “real” cover in the band’s site, since I had the promo, it was beautiful! As regards music, “Burn Down Rome” come from London and their sound is a mix of metal, punk and hardcore (and more!) elements, easily listened to, beside these mixed influences.. I must admit that, at first I had mythoughts about the vocals, I wasn’t sure if this guy overreacts a bit or has so much anger and despair inside that lets go through music..As time was passing by, “Devotion” became addictive and I am still carried away by the vocals! Production is a bit rough, but when you get used to this sound, it’s addictive, that’s the word again, especially if you wanna let the stress of the day go by smashing down some stuff, this is the soundtrack for destruction! Hurry up a bit though and demolish everything during the first half of the CD, as the second one sounds a bit more post-approached, so smash it up with e.g. “temperance” and sit back and enjoy what you‘ve created  while listening to “penitent” or “Daniel”! Devotion is a good job and shall have fans from the metal community as well as punk crowds too! If I had the official booklet so I could read all the lyrics, I could be more specific, as in punk genre, lyrics matter the most! Check them out anyway! \r\n
