\r\n Τhe release of this EP is a "look, we’re still here" move in my opinion(not only) for german metalcore gurus Caliban. I cannot explain otherwise the small duration or the so few songs contained in it(only 4). So, Caliban in an attempt to show the wide range of their influences cover acts like Type O Negative, At The Gates, Rammstein and The Beatles. Are the selections fair enough? Your call.

\r\n Truth is, the choices made are more than predictable but the point is, have they really done any actuall covering or mere reproductions of the originals...In the case of "Blinded By Fear" I can’t say the band has outdone itself. On the contrary their plastic, modern sound is not fit to this classic song. "My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend" on the other hand has been turned into something else, more like a "core" something. Still, Type O Negative and Rammstein are not my cup of tea so I’ll just pass by saying that some work has been done. No more, no less. As for Helter Skelter, the songs has been covers sooooo many times that I lost count and forgot how the real thing is! They did change it too but what’s the point?

\r\n To sum it up, this release is purely a gift to the "must have it all" fans out there. No actuall point in releasing it except from the necessity of remaining in publicity. If you’re trying to find something more essential just wait for their next full album although I think their heydays are long dead and gone....\r\n
