Chronicle Shadows -

\r\nThere’s brief info about the band in their myspace, which informs us about their history so far. Chronicle Shadows is coming from the ashes of the band Stormblade, which has released a demo-cd of 5 tracks a few years ago. With some changes in the line-up, the band gets in the studio again in order to work on a full-length album, while looking for a record company.
\r\nSo, we have a promo, which consists of 4 tracks, in fact, a very good work on 4 great tracks, which are based on heavy/power elements as a general idea, yet a bit further than what is called as “classical” power metal. Heavy riffs, which turn from sharped and dark, to more melodic ones, tight rhythm section with clever changes/breaks, keys which are other times more atmospheric and are only backing up the rest of the music, and other times when they play the main role. As for the vocals, due to the tone of the voice, sometimes they remind of epic/power stuff, they are aggressive and intense, mostly during the choruses, and in general they give a very warm feeling. My only observation has to do with the fact that sometimes there is no balance between the music and the vocals as the music wasn’t as loud as the vocals. \r\n
