Cipher System - Communicate The Storms

\r\n The swedish scene lovers that know the whereabouts are surely aware of the amazing "Central Tunnel 8", the band’s debut that came out about 10 years ago if I remember correctly(well, if I’m wrong sue me!). An album full of melodies, emotion and utter inspiration. After a loooong time Cipher System return with new material and of course new band members. I, personally, was rather hectic about this release as all new swedish bands turned into this sick, disgusting emo core trendy bull. Acts like Sonic Syndicate and Scar Symmetry failed to deliver good stuff after their earlier albums. And what did C.S. do?

\r\n Yes, melodic choruses are here too, yes, the whole attitude became a lot more "2011-ish" BUT: their feeling is still here. It is what it’s supposed to be. Less "Gothenborg" than their label describes them as, but equally good, fresh, full of wonderful melodies, coming either from the guitars or the keyboard. And when I say, keys I don’t mean any Nightwish stuff. Rather more electronic sounds that I find rather interesting. "Communicate The Storms" can be heard as smoothly as you can drink as Jack shot. VERY easily. Its content is varied, its sound is superb. The songs simply stick to your mind like glue. Ok, I know the younger fans will take it in a lot faster than the oned who found Soilwork a bit too trendy. But I urge you to give it a try with an open mind/ear.

\r\n There is no need to start writing even more in order to convince the swedish lover fan to even have a listen to Cipher System’s new work. Ok. it’s not melodic death metal or whatever but who gives a rat’s ass what the label calls it? This is where you’ll find good songs dear "metal dude", have a listen without prejudice and ignore the band members’ annoying haircuts. Morbid Angel now dance to beats, is this your real problem?\r\n
