D-A-D - Monster Philosophy
\r\nDisneyland After Dark also known as D.A.D are from the cases of the\r\nbands who even though they had what it takes to be famous, for some\r\nreason (that most of the times had to do with marketing problems) they\r\nnever managed to do so. D.A.D are in the music business for over 20\r\nyears and they already have 10 albums (that’s the 10th) and apart from\r\nNo Fuel Left for the Pilgrims” released by Warner Bros back in 1989\r\nincluding the hit “Sleeping my day away” I don’t think that anyone\r\nnoticed either themselves or the albums they released after that. For\r\nthose not familiar with the band (that will be most of the people)\r\nD.A.D are playing some kind of punk rock along with some modern\r\nelements, that genre that most of us call post rock. The sound here\r\nremains the same that was from their very beginning with one noticeable\r\ndifference in the production that makes the songs sound a little bit\r\nmore “modern”, this has as a result the sound of today’s D.A.D to\r\nremind you of bands like Bad Religion or Coldplay. The distinctive\r\nvoice of Jesper Binzer has the same old pitch that had 20 years ago\r\nwhile the rest of the band have developed their performance to a more\r\nmodern way. I don’t know if this album will be Disneyland After Dark’s\r\nbreakthrough but I realy don’t think that they’ll manage to do now what\r\nthey didn’t manage 20 years ago. Those who like D.A.D will dig this\r\none, for the rest I don’t expect anything, neither D.A.D.\r\n
