Demetrasinedie - Council From Kaos
\r\n The Italians Demetra Sine Die was founded in 2003 by Marco Paddeu (guitar/vocals) and Marcello Fattore (drums) and they play what they describe as ’alternative dark metal’. You can just imagine some Tool, Katatonia, Porcupine Tree and Anathema influences all blended together and to picture their colored musical painting.
\r\n Dark, progressive, experimental and atmospheric, "Council from kaos" delivers eight compositions structured in the alternative metal fields where the extensive duration of tracks gives the band the opportunity to try improvisations and attempts in order to create an aura of originality. So the question is if they succeed to it and in my opinion they surely luck their own particular sound. For the most part the album keeps a mid to slow pace and only in the tracks "Magma" and "Art of rebellion" we hear some pure metallic attitude. Vocalist and guitarist Marco Paddeu has a smooth and sometimes whispering voice but he is totally flat at some points without not even closely having the passion or the feeling that the aforementioned bands have while the guitars are way too soft to make any impression.
\r\n I believe that this kind of music can either make your jaws really hurt from uncontrollable yawns or pleasure your ears but only when there is true and conclusive talent. Do I need to tell you in which case Demetra Sine Die fall under?\r\n
