Devil Sold His Soul - Darkness Prevails

\r\nDevil Sold His Soul is a band from Britain and this time it circulates their debut album which is named A Fragile Hope. The same moment however, we find in the market a re-release of what we have here, the EP which brings the title Darkness Prevails and is the first work that the band had ever done with the difference that now it comes with some bonus material. For the reason that we should get things from the beginning, due to the fact that the group is more than interesting, we present the EP and in the future for sure we will also present their album. Darkness Prevails reveals a band charismatic, with talent and passion for whatever it makes. Their music is strange enough and it cannot enter in the particular and small moulds that imposes the musical industry. It is atmospheric and hides a lot of technical elements, it is also melodic and dark while it at the same time it has and something modern which makes Devil Sold His Soul recognisable also in what we say Post sound. The whole mood and mentality of the album is what makes the band unique, after personally it is from the rare times that I hear a group which accomplishes at the same time to be heard as progressive, melancholic, modern but also charismatic. The tracks that we find here are extremely melodical and many of them are very easy and pleasant in the listening. What dominates in the biggest part they are the well played rhythm guitars and beautiful vocals, that changes from clear to brutal, while the acoustics guitars give one more atmospheric note in the whole result. The production is astonishing and really even this accomplishes to make the band more atmospheric. Personally I could not compare Devil Sold His Soul with another band. I believe that they have incredible talent to create such music and it is great that they released again this album, because it would be a pity to be slipped. Darkness Prevails releases with some remixes and demo versions, while in the bonus DVD we can see the band on the scene, but also enjoying 3 official videos. Simple astonishing!\r\n
