Dominici - O3 - A Trilogy - Part III

Charlie Dominici needs no introduction. He is the former Vocalist of US based progressive metal band, Dream Theater (When Day And Dream Unite – 1989).
\r\nDespite this fact, Charles Dominici formed back in 2005 his own band under the name Dominici. With Dominici, Charlie has released two full-length albums. So this is the third and last one of the trilogy “O3 – A Trilogy” and is simply entitled “O3 – A Trilogy Part III”
\r\nThe comparison with Dream Theater of course cant be avoided, because the music of Dominici sounds close to early Dream Theater, but this is not for sure a rip off, because of the originality of the compositions and their specific musical style. Thankfully Dominici do not own the Theater’s main characteristic the exaggeration.
\r\nThe band’s line up remains the same, and the eight in total compositions are into the Progressive / Power metal forms, in the vein of Dream Theater, Conception and of course some Rush elements. Many melodic parts and passages and some choruses that stick in your mind included also. Moreover, the very good production contributes to become this release worth – to – buy one. Worth to mention that the last two albums of Dominici have been released via Inside Out records, a label that supports the US (and not only) progressive metal scene and its back catalogue contains some really great bands like Evergrey, Enchant, Pain Of Salvation, Symphony X and many more.
