Ekotren - Light The Fire
Ekotren - Light The Fire
Ekotren were formed in 2000 in Florida and Light The Fire is their new album. In order to be sincere i was ignoring their existence but i am not the biggest fan of Metalcore. Light The Fire therefore, is a modern album that apart from his Metalcore roots has also a lot of elements from that called Alternative Metal while some influences from Nu Metal don’t missing. Typical stuff. What I liked in this band is the amazing sound which is characterized by the volume and the distinct instruments in the songs. Beyond this, the band presents us a typicall and usual mix of all the elements that we mentioned before and the result is good but also bad. We can’t say in any case that Ekotren is a new force in the scene, and also we can’t say that they are uninfluenced and bad. There are many good songs here, that are characterised from the catchy and melodic refrains while all the tracks in total are ideal for live performances bacause they combine the melody and the outbursts in a way that make th audience headbanging till the end. The good times in the album are less than the mediocre ones because after some time listening to the album you lose your interest for the band’s music. Their strong point is the molodic refrains that if someone listen to it’s sure that he’ll sing them for a long time after. Their basic influences are Papa Roah and Twin Method and when the situation gets more extreme we think about Lamb of God. Light The fire is a modern album that contains good and mediocre moments. Albums like that we often listen so if you are a fan οf this style and you have listened to everything take alook to Ektoren. \r\n
