ELDRITCH - EVERYTHING'S BURNING

Eldritch - Gaia s Legecy

\r\n
\r\nIt’s a fact that Eldritch is one of the most underrated bands out there. In case one has any doubts about that all he has to do is check their albums so far; the songs and their structure are clever the least. \r\n

\r\n

\r\nIt’s been six years since their last studio album was released and now Eldritch are about to make up for the lost time and, in fact, they do it the best way possible. Gaia’s legacy is based on the documentary “An Inconvinient Truth” by Al Gore, which deals with the global warming. The band’s come back has a very intense mood for a return to the roots of their music, “playing” on a tech-thrash field under the progressive metal perspective that features their compositions. Eldritch know very well how to build a song, being perplexing and straight at the same time; they know very well how to present their ideas based on a modern approach and on a way of thinking, which is always away from the usual. \r\n

\r\n

\r\nGöran Finnberg (Opeth, In Flames, Evergrey, Dark Tranquillity) is responsible for the mastering of the album; also, another reference point is the guest appearance of Bob Katsionis on “Like A Child”, who adds very strong and bright colors to the song, as well as the nice cover of “Through Different Eyes” (Fates Warning).\r\n
