Elvenking - Two Tragedy Poets and a Caravan of weird figures

\r\nThese guys here really made my day and in fact under pretty bad conditions, as the traffic jam in the streets was horrible the day when I picked that cd to accompagnize me while driving. This so much cheerful mood that the Cd gives you was enough to face the situation by almost forgetting what was going on around me. Elvenking, moving away from the past death/power directions they tended to mix in their albums, they become more “clear” and in power/folk rhythms and musical orientation of the same mood they drift us in their fantastic worlds with acoustic parts that feature the biggest part of the compositions and create a really incredible atmosphere. Melodic and epic feeling are the two elements that describe that piece of work in total and I think that these are the key-words on which the band based its compositions in order to it give us such a beautiful result. The Italians seem to know the way of making albums which have the maturity of already tested musical paths, yet by entertaining freshness and finesse at the same time.
\r\nIn this Cd there is also an cover song of the very popular Belinda Carlisle’s pop hit song “Heaven Is A Place On Earth”, which I consider that it belongs to those cases where you have a dilemma on chosing the best version. \r\n
