Forsaken - After The Fall

Forsaken - After The Fall

Well, there’s nothing more for a doomed soul to ask for about new releases this year. New album for Isole, new album for Candlemass and now a new release from Forsaken.  Well It would be great if there will be also a new Solitude Aeturnus album but that’s too much I suppose.
\r\nAfter 4 years of patience and waiting the epic doom masters from Malta have finally return, with a slightly different sound in comparison with “Dominaeon” (their latest release). To be honest, Forsaken always return with slightly different sound from album to album and this is one of the fact I really love about this band, they do explore their sound but always remaining strictly in the Epic Doom Metal boundaries.
\r\nSo, “After the Fall” is at last here and the very first thing for someone to notice is the great production, with many dual guitar parts, many melodic lines etc. The vocals of Leo as I have said before are getting better and better through their releases. The riffing is thick and each one riff must weights about 1000kg or so. As for the composing abilities of Forsaken is know all these years, with acoustic parts, many tempo variations during the track and more. I‘d like also to mention the great work that have been made by Sean, on the guitar solos on the album.
\r\nAs for the quality of the album I  suggest to give a listen to the new –about to be classics- tracks such as “Metatron and the Mibor Mythos”, “Vanguards of the Void” “Aidenn Falls” and in general the whole album.
\r\nIf anyone considers himself a member of the Doom Metal community worldwide, has to get this opus without any trace of hesitation. As for the others I only suggest to listen to this masterpiece and I am sure that the album will be soon an addition to your collection…
