The Grotesquery - Tales of the Coffin Birth

\r\n-The Grotesquery- is a project band formed in 2009  by Kam Lee (Massacre, Bone Gnawer) and Rogga Johansson (Bone Gnawer,Paganizer)  after they finished the first album with the -Bone Gnawer- band. These two Deathsters decided to form a band that will play good old Death Metal with an extra dose of horror. They wanted to make a project band that will be inspired by the masters of horror: Edward Allan Poe and H.P.Lovecraft , and to make a Horror-concept album that will combine Death Metal and horror. They managed to get Johan Berglund (Demiurg, Ribspreader) on bass and Brynjar Helgetun (Paganizer, Liklukt) on the drums and started their vision. \r\n

\r\nTheir debut album is already on stores by the name - Tales of the Coffin Born - and the band is doing a great start. Great songs, full of Death Metal riffs, nice bass and Death Metal drumming and the amazing voice of Kam Lee. The production is great and is a job of Ronnie Bjomstrom at E.A.P. Studio. The artwork of the album is fantastic and it’s a work of Turkka Rantanen (http://www.myspace.com/tgrantanen).\r\n

\r\n-The Grotesquery- are taking us back to 90’s Death Metal with their music, through a horror concept album that speaks about a boy that was born inside the womb of his dead mother. The band has made a great soundtrack for this morbid tale and every song  matches perfectly to the lyrics. An excellent release!!\r\n
