Hate Squad - Deguello Wartunes
Hate Squad - Deguello Wartunes
\r\nHate Squad celebrate their 15 years of existence with the album Deguello Wartunes, which is not some kind of collection, but is their new album. Personally I could not never take seriously the Germans, firstly because their name does not make me any sense and secondly, because in the 4 previous albums that they have released, the only that we hear is riffs that are being played on and on and they do not have something to offer to us. As in the previous, same and now Hate Squad offers 11 mediocre tracks with some beautiful moments, that exist and we listen to them in a daily basis and have also heard them thousands times in the past. Typical Metalcore with enough Death Metal elements is what presents to us by the band or differently as themselves say they play H8 Core (??). The tracks on one hand are strong and the speeds are gone up, on the other hand and in the whole duration of the album, it appears that there is something missing. It can be the lack of melodies or that there is something different and everything is predictable. So, be it. Hate Squad have taken a lot of elements from Hatesphere and Ektomorf and they have combined them with others taken from Cataract, while vocals remind little of Napalm Death. All these together create a chaotic and monotonous result, which does not have something interesting, while even the guest appearances of Marcus Bischoff (Heaven Shall Burn) and Timo Bohling (Maintain) cannot save the situation. The only really good point of Hate Squad is the production but that’s not enough...\r\n
