HDK - SYSTEM OVERLOAD

\r\nSystem Overload and you haven’t seen a thing yet! Literally speaking the system overloads during listening to this album and the one to blame is Sander Gommans (After Forever). HDK (full name is HATE DEATH KILL) begun as a project but later on things changed and the band seems to seek for permanent line up, or at least that’s what we are aware of from the lastest info  we got via internet regarding to the band’s process, as, sadly for many fans out there, After Forever split up.
\r\nThe guests’ list is very long and it includes names such as Amanda Somerville (vocals, lyrics), Andre Matos (clean vocals), Arjen Anthony Lucassen (guitars)…. Lot of anger, rage, disgust and here we are. Melodic death with many classical and thrash refferances is the basic orientation of their musical style. There are also more “soft” spots, where the angelic voice of Amanda Somerville creates a unique atmosphere with her very beautiful, expressive vocals fullfilled with emotion, giving a pretty Goth essense which totally differs from the mood of the whole work.  Crazy drumming, furious riffs and solos, passionate vocals. As if its creator was keeping this energy inside for a long time and now he bursts in these 11 tracks. Regardless the emotional/psychological background, this album is meant to lead to a complete burnout. And hell, you can’t claim that they didn’t warn you on the title! \r\n
