Hellowen - My God-given right

Hellowen - My God-given right

The new Helloween album is entitled "My God-given right" and is the fifteenth  in the career of the German power metallers. Also is the fifth in a row with the current line up and everything seem to work perfectly as always. Thirteen tracks in total in this album (there will be special edition with bonus material) of the classic Helloween recipe of the Andi Deris era. Everything that a Helloween fan seeks is here : up tempo riffs, melody, great solos and of course a ballad , everything well written and produced. All the members have contributed in the composition of the songs which, i believe, is one of  the secret of the Helloween success throughout the years, providing diversity to each of their albums. "Heroes" is the track that opens the album, an  in your face song with a few modern elements in the sound."Battles won" comes next and is also the first single for this album , typical Helloween song, gives you the impression that could be found in any of their albums. "My God-given right" comes next which is also the choice for a video clip. "Stay crazy" and "Lost in America" keep the interest of the listener while in "Russian Roulé " and "The swing of a fallen world" we will meet again some modern aspects in the music."Like everybody else" is a ballad - you can’t have a Helloween album without one. The chorus in "Creatures in heaven" is a typical one for Helloween music and euro-power scene in general, same situation also in "If God Loves Rock ’n’ Roll". "Living on the Edge" and  "Claws" come next and the album finishes with "You, Still of War" a mixed tempo track with slow and fast parts.

For every big band to keep their huge amount of fans satisfied is always a challenge. This challenge becomes even bigger if we add the weight of the name Helloween in the metal universe. I personally believe that Helloween will have no problem once again to meet the expectations. Still they go on the metal highway !
