Jon Oliva's Pain - Festival

Jon Oliva's Pain - Festival

\r\nShould I refer once more to the common desire for most of us, which is no other than a new SAVATAGE album? I think that’s an old story and it’s getting tiring. Also, I think it’s pointless to estimate a new album based on the band ‘s members’ past. I suggest we focus on the present time. So, in this case, I d rather avoid saying if this album sounds like SAVATAGE. I will only refer to the spots that I liked in it.
\r\nAll the elements that are needed for a good album of this music genre are included in this album. Heavy, frenetic vocals from the one and only Jon Oliva, this major performer/ musician/ creator, hooking melodies, nice riffs and solos, powerful symphonic parts which make the songs very theatrical, good ideas and, of course, sweet ballads.
\r\nI’m going to be honest. At first, I wasn’t excited. I was expecting more. It’s not that I wanted this album to sound “more SAVATAGE”, not that. But, these songs have so much feeling that after listening to them again and again, I changed my mind. I liked them. It just takes time to listen to them more than just once or twice. \r\n
