Russia’s Kauan, first effort is the album “Lemikuuro”. The band founded back in 2005 and they have changed their music style, from Folk black Metal to more slow ,doom folk metal without forgeting copletely their black metal past.
\r\nThe album can be characterized something between Opeth, Burzum and early In The Woods. Kauan have achieved the impossible, the structure of their compositions own the complexity of Opeth and the simplicity of Burzum in the same time. Easy melodies, obsure keys / piano and brutal / clean vocals are the components of this album, also exist some other not “Metal” instruments like Saxophone and violloncello.
\r\nThe Strong Point of “Lamikuuro” is of course the heavy, frozen atmosphere that make the listener not able to categorize their music but just listen to the album and from my own expirience I have to admit that it was a very nice experience indeed.
\r\nProbably the only weak point is that some listeners may feel a lil bored from the continius changes of their music, but I personally recommend this album, especially nowdays that the weather is cold.
