\r\nLillian Axe belongs to the so called “obscured” groups which have been really underestimated through out the years. Maybe the music category/”stamp” which would follow the band since the 80’s played a very important role, as categorizing a band’s music sometimes affects its carrier progress, plus, in some cases, it’s all relevant when it comes to this procedure. \r\n

\r\nSteve Blaze, founding member and guitarist of the group, reconstitutes the band with a new-line up, and the release of “Waters Rising” is a fact. With Derrick Lefevre on vocals, we have a new album with 12 tracks where you can only find good compositions. Music wise it is melodic Hard Rock/Heavy Rock, while the rhythm section is a bit more dark than what we have heard so far from the group, however it’s still groovy as always. The guitar riffing is truly magic, and the same goes for the vocal lines. From the very first notes of the self-titled track, which is the first song of the album, it’s crystal clear that we are dealing with an extremely inspired work. \r\n

\r\nRegardless of what kind of music each one of us may prefer, I think paying attention to this album worth the while and I also dare to say that it’s one of these album releases that make you “overstep” some “boundaries” ie reconsider a few things music wise, and see beyond. \r\n
