Mahakala - Pact with the Devil

\r\nWell well…What\r\nhave got here? It’s been a long time since we had news from these guys. And now\r\nthey reunited to “destroy everything and live forever”! As you may already know\r\nMahakala started out as a sludge band with pretty extreme vocals, but now they\r\npresent a new cleaner, more bluesy and groovy sound that can do nothing but\r\ngrab you by the ears and get you near the speakers. The “Pact with the Devil”\r\npromo is a cool piece of art. And this is because it consists of great sound,\r\ncool vocals (now done by their bass player JB, much clearer than his\r\npredecessors) and heavy tunes that go straight from slow, sludgy riffs to Rock\r\nn’ roll extravaganza. Three tracks that make you wanna bang your head\r\nrepeatedly, light up a joint and move to the rhythm. Before you know it you\r\nwill catch yourself amazed…You will definitely press the repeat button again! The\r\nguitars are razing, the rhythm section creates boiler room frequencies, the\r\nlyrics (pretty dark-check ‘em out at their myspace profile) are well written,\r\nartwork is really nice and there is a Sabbath vibe everywhere….What else do you\r\nneed to get convinced? Do I smell smoke?\r\n
