Motorhead - MOTORIZER
Motorhead - MOTORIZER
Motorhead, a band that has offered some great moments in Metal History and written its name with golden letters in the book of Rock Legends. This new album is nothing else but the continue of their saga. Another worth to notice release, on their music’s prototypes (and stereotypes). The sound of the album is typical Motorhead and by the time the first riff enters, you can immediately recognise them. At this point I would like to mention, that the designer of their covers (and of the legendary Motorhead’s trademark, Snaggletooth) Joe Petagno, has not made the artwork (which is at high standards, though) at this one. "Motoriser" is consisted of eleven tracks, which spreads the "filth" and mood, only this band knows how to deliver. Even if this release could not be named as an extremely inspired one, all songs are above average and some of them could easily become classic. The riffs are sometimes heavy metal, rock n’ roll and sometimes mid tempo, the solos are extremely melodic and hard rockin’ at times. The whole guitar work, in general, proves that Campbell can be a very good guitarist without overdoing it and without getting babber. Highlights of this album would definately be the mid tempo "Hero" (my personal favorite), with its catchy chorus and Heavy Metal riffs, the rock n’ rollin’ "English Rose" with its groovy themes and melodic lines and the partyin’ "Rock Out" which has escaped from their glorious past, with Lemmy’s bass leading. Other very good songs are the opening "Runaround Man", the powerful "When The Eagle Screams" and the hard rockin’ "Time Is Right". As a conclusion I would have to agree with "uncle" Lemmy who has said that : "We are Motorhead, we know what to do, after those years".Furthermore, I would add, that we deal with an easy-listening and degnified album, full of pure Hard Rock, like the one, Motorhead know how to create. So as the mastermind behind the group says : "Rock out, with your cock out"!!!
