\r\nFinland is one those countries that have drawn much of the metal audience towards its side. And that’s a reasonable reaction. If you think of bands like Amorphis, Sentenced, Children Of Bodom, Nightwish and many more (it’ll take much time to mention them all), you understand why there is so much interest in the sound of the finnish scene.
\r\nOlympos Mons come from this scene, too. The band from Hanko, Finland already have released an album by the name "Conquistador", that came out in 2004 and got pretty good reviews from the press and from the audience as well, came back with a pretty good album in my opinion. Jari Sundstrom and his gang know very well what Epic Power Metal is and they prove it through their songs in "Medievil". I advise you to pay attention to their music which is not the type of Power Metal you’ll listen 2 or 3 times and then get tired.
\r\nSo sometimes we have up tempo and some others mid tempo tracks and other instruments accompany in a satisfying way (everything has been put exactly were it should be with no exaggeration). Ian E. Highhill vocals are in great shape and the production is pretty good. In addition to these we have the lyrics, the cover and the trumpets that sometimes are used to put out what the band wants to promote... the epical sound.
\r\nThere are some moments, though, where they remind us of Stratovarious and Rhapsody but fortunately this doesn’t last throught the whole album... The band is capable of many things and proves that in this album...\r\n
