Pharaoh - Ten Years

Pharaoh - Ten Years

What we have here is a new release from the US outfit, Pharaoh, maybe the name of the band does not ring a bell for the most of you, but the name of their vocalist, Tim Aymar, does, since Tim was the vocalist on Chuck Schuldiner’s Control Denied album.
\r\nThe new EP release features 6 tracks with “Ten years” , “When We Fly” being left over from the recording sessions of their latest LP “Be Gone” (2008) while “Nothing I Can Say” and “Reflection and The Inevitable Future” released on the same album, but only as a bonus 7” on the vinyl edition of “Be Gone”. Last but not least the EP features also two cover songs, on New Model Army “White Lights” and Slayer ‘s “Tormentor” controversial decision for sure.
\r\nMusic wise, Pharaoh is a typical example of US power metal , with huge , sharp riffing, melodic lines where is needed, and for sure some great vocals by Tim. Personally I recommend to our readers, to check the bands second LP “The Longest Night”  at first place, since the EP is a release that appeals the die hard fans
