Reverend Bizarre - III :So Long Suckers
One Of The best bands of true, traditional Doom metal are the Finnish Reverend Bizarre. They returned with their third and last album “So Long Suckers”. They have once again their monolithic, awesome doom sound. Double CD, including 8 tracks of total playing time 2 hours and 10 minutes, with two tracks “They Used Dark Forces/Teutonic Witch” and “Anywhere Out Of This World” reaching total playing time 30 each one. What can anyone say about the desperate voice of Sir Albert Witchfinder and the solid sound of his poor bass guitar or the slow Sabbath –alike- Gibson of Father Peter Vicar, or either the heavy, down tempo drumming of Monsieur Earl Of Void? Personally this album is the definition of Doom Metal, or better, The traditional doom metal for this Decade Is Reverend Bizarre. I think that there’s no need to describe this album any further. Whenever your local record store opens, go and get it.Probably the best release for 2007.
