Runamok - Freak Business

\r\nThis is the fourth albumfrom the german band Runamok who have achieved pretty much in the last five years. The truth is the band gives the impression that they don’t take seriously what they are doing but things aren’t as they seem at first. The music we listento in this album has its roots at Bay Area Thrash and is influenced by bands like Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Annihilator etc. Of course we can’t ask for anything new or modern as this genre needs to have an old school mentlity and Runamok stay faithfull to it. Freak Business is a mixture of all the mentioned above groups and the compositions are wel played and beautiful. There are times when Anthrax come to our minds as well as Megadeth but not in a bad way. It’s not an album attempting to change the thrash status or clamingto be the new thrash masterpiece. It’s just an album containing many things the Titans of Thrash have offered, played by a new band that has and still is working on it. If you’re into it, check it out. \r\n
