S.C.A.L.P. - Through Eternity

S.C.A.L.P. is a Russian based outfit that it’s music can be described as doom / death / goth metal, so don’t you take them for the other Lengendary Russian outfit, SCALD, because you will let yourself down.
\r\nThis year S.C.A.L.P. released their third album “Chuzhaya Voina” but in this particular review we have to deal with their first release that has been re – released. So the album “Through Eternity” has been originally released in 1997 through “R.I.P. Prods / LEVIATHAN Records” and re – released in 2009 by BadMoodMan Music
\r\nAs you expect the sound isn’t “fresh” or “new” since 12 years have been passed since its release, but for sure is the right sound of this era. Many doom / death elements on this with some good acoustic passages and some good vocals.  If I have to find some wider known bands to describe their sound, these bands would be Anathema (“Silent Enigma” era) and Tiamat (“Clouds” era). So if you are a fan of that era and sound and since the seasons have changed the purchase of this specific release would be a wise choice.
