SEAR BLISS - Forsaken Symphony

SEAR BLISS - Forsaken Symphony

Just yesterday I got the re-release of the 4th album by the Hungarian outfit, Sear Bliss trough VIC records. Sear Bliss is a band that I am glad I “discover” in their early stages, back in the mid – 90’s, for the fact that they own something really special about their sound. They manage to gather the old school black metal with death parts, many keyboards, many melodies and of course the trademark of the band, the Trombone!!!
\r\nSo, it’s all about the album “Forsaken Symphony” that has been originally released back in 2002 via Red Stream Records, the label of Sear Bliss after they left “II Moons” label and before get themselves into a contract with “Candlelight records”
\r\nThe album continues their tradition of their first releases where they mix old school black / death metal music with many blast beats and “majestic” keyboard playing, not to be confused with the Hollywood – alike- sound of Dimmu Borgir, their sound is closer to the great Opus under the title “In The Nightside Eclispe”
\r\nIn general I didn’t understand the reason for this re – release since the VIC edition sounds and looks pretty similar to the Red Stream edition, I believe that the band wanted a better distribution this time for their album, something that they deserve for sure.
