The Slam - Hit It

The Slam - Hit It

That’s a debut album for the old rockers The Slam (and by saying old, I don’t refer to their age!). After managing to sign with the Italian Record company Scarlet Records they release their full length “Hit It” offering a piece of good old classic hard rock sound and by the term classic we mean exactly that. Hard rock the way Aerosmith, Kiss and early Whitesnake used to play. All this vintage feeling given by a modern production gives the songs a powerful and solid sound. Their compositions although well worked seem to lack that radio friendly song that most of us would expect from a band of the genre, of course this doesn’t mean that their songs themselves are lame or boring.
\r\nI personally picked “Wild Ride” which reminded me a lot of Whitesnake, as well as the up tempo Kisser that, as the title implies could easily have been composed by Simmons/Stanley. The highlight of the album though is the song “Little Angel” with Glenn Hughes participating on the vocals.
\r\nSo if you really dig that classic hard rock sound, why don’t you check out The Slam? Who knows what you might find?
