SOULSKINNER - Non Stop Killing
Soulskinner - Non Stop Killing
\r\nSoulskinner are veterans in the Greek scene. They were created in 1997 under the name Terra Tenebrae and with this name they released the Demo Masks Of Deathly Joy and album Subconscious. In 2000 the band changed its name in Soulskinner that as they say, this represents them more both in lyrics and music. In 2003 the group releases its second completed album, named Breeding The Grotesque and today, after certain changes in their Line up they release Non Stop Killing, an album that will be discussed as for the Greek situation it is something unusual.
\r\nBut, lets take things from the beginning. When somebody puts the CD in the CD player, the first thing that observes it is the tied up and heavy sound. From there and beyond, the influences from Death Metal of the scene of Florida are more obvious, but with a more personal approach of the band. The 10 tracks of Non Stop Killing are characterized from hate, terrible riffs that are capable to smash our brains in the wall, speed drumming, the dry atmosphere that prevails everywhere and the smell of death and decay that accompanies us during listening the album. What makes Soulskinner unique is that in all this cruelty that they offer us, exist and enough melodic points, together with some points that make the band’s music more technique.
\r\nIn this point we must mention that vocals are suitable for the genre and of course it plays its unique role to the whole image of the album.
\r\nNo words to say. Soulskinner proved that they can comfortably keep the reins of Greek Death Metal of scene, through album that it reveals a tied up and professional band. Non Stop Killing therefore and…the brains on the edge!!\r\n
