Spit Like This - We Won't Hurt You (But We Won't Go Away)

\r\nSpit Like This…well I’ve always had my doubts on UK bands after the 90’s. And in the case of these guys my doubts and fears were fully confirmed. Before talking about the album itself, a short bio is always necessary. Spit Like This have been around since 2004 with many EP’s and Promo’s and managed to release their first full-length album in 2008, “We won’t hurt you (but we won’t go away)”. A year later, this album is re-released as the band signed with another label. I’ve read that this band reached the top 10 rock chart. I’m not here to question the people’s judgment, just to make a review on this album…\r\n

\r\nWithout any content, orientations or structure SLT present us 13 tracks of low quality sleaze rock that come up as a mix of who knows how many genres. They call it “Glam Punk Rock”…not much to say. The whole “Sex, Drugs and Rock n’ roll” attitude is obvious through the whole album but it has nothing to do with bands that knew how to get this right. Not to mention the easily played tracks and the low bottom quality lyrics. I thought that they were a comedy band but I realized that SLT are serious!\r\n

\r\nPersonally, it was a waste of time. I wouldn’t recommend this album to any fan of this genre. Hard rock and sleaze have made a dynamic comeback and, apart from the great bands, so are the bands that play this way and clearly don’t have a clue…to Eurovision and far beyond!\r\n
