Sycronomica - Sycroscope

\r\nUsually the first thing that you pay attention to when it comes to a band that you haven’t heard before, is the cover art of their cd; Trees that are dancing around an odd fire in the middle of the night, mountains all around, while crows and elf are watching... marvelous.
\r\nTheir compositions combine the atmosphere of Dimmu Borgir, the clean black metal side of Samael and the "blur" feeling of Ancient Rites. What I liked the most was the changes and the variety of the elements that Sycronomica use in the songs. For instance, they use folk passages, sympohonic parts and baritone operatic vocals as well, which, though, ruin the flow of the songs in my opinion. Dark, obscure, vicious and absolutely un-catchy songs, however while I was listening to the album, all I kept thinking was: “yes, but..”   \r\n
