\r\nThunder set a fine example for these bands that stood the test of time. This one is their ninth release (their third under the label of Frontiers Records) in which they play exactly what they started playing 20 years ago. Classic Hard rock with 70’s influences. The compositions of this album are a mix of melodic hard rock/AOR but listening to the songs you will find some elements of 70’s rock and even country, something that makes the compositions sound variable and the whole album quite interesting. Of course the variation of tempo and styles as well as the use of “strange” instruments like piano or banjo give a progressive essence to the whole album, but that’s nothing uncommon for Thunder so it won’t be a surprise for their fans. The production along with Danny Bowes’s voice is in high levels. I won’t comment on the bands playing abilities because I think that 20 years of experience are more than enough to grow conclusions.
\r\nGenerally speaking Bang is a quite interesting album that will surely please their fans, as for the others (myself included) I can’t tell because as I pointed out before Thunder are not a common hard rock band that would appeal to anyone. Although I think we should give them a chance. Well if you like band like AC/DC, ZZ Top and Status Quo then you will surely like Thunder.\r\n
