Tonus - Sphyraenas

This Thrash Metal from Hamburg, Germany, so the result cant be less than Worthy. Tonus is a band that formed in 2002 and gave many gigs in German ground. The only Single they have relesed since now is “Sphyraenas” with two tracks in it. That’s a shame because if they had more we would have an extended opinion about the band. During the total time of 7 minutes we can easily hear many classic Thrash Metal riffs of course influenced by the classic thrash scene of Germany mixed with some influences from Punk rock groups like Bohse Onkelz that they are loved by the German audience. These two tracks are mid tempo with no classic Thrash break outs, a fact that personally left me pleased. The Lyrics are in German and I have to admit that this is the first time I ‘ve ever heard a thrash band to have only german lyrics, although many bands sing is German, the thrash bands that do that are few. Anyway, In this single there are two signs that Tonus can compose and play worthy music but it would be better if we can hear a full length or something. The sound and the production is really profesional and can easily be compared with the productions of other bands.
