Toxic Heart - Ride Your Life

Toxic Heart - Ride Your Life

\r\nSlovenian Glam/ Hard Rock… well, without any doubt that is the surprise of the day!  It’s hard to remember the last time I even heard of a Slovenian band. So what about their music? After a short search I made on the Internet I found out that most Slovenian metal bands have been around in the death and grindcore scene. Well Toxic Heart play hard rock, without any great innovations, they just play the music they like filled with a “Life Is Here To Enjoy” way of thinking as they say.\r\n

\r\nConcerning their music, we hear nothing new compared to other hard rock bands. Influenced by L.A.’s 80’s hard rock, Toxic Heart don’t seem to have made a great effort making their own sound. Yet, they’ve got their job well done by making a respectable album filled with energy and the dynamics of a young band but also with classic riffs that we’ve heard on and on in the past from similar bands. In vocals, Axl is the one who stands out with very good performances. Pleasant and happy mood in all of the tracks is something obvious but none of them can be considered worse or best as none of them can make a difference either good or bad. Last but not least pretty good work has been made on production giving an extra boost to their songs. \r\n

\r\nOn the whole you’ll have a nice time hearing these guys but it’s not an album that will get stuck to your CD player. It still is, though, respectable work considered the fact that they come from a country that is still behind in the progress of this music.\r\n
