At Vance - Ride the Sky

At Vance - Ride the Sky

\r\nAt Vance once more are following the same musical way that we all know, and they give us a new album which may not have surprises but it is superb! Those who are fans of the group know what they should expect. It’s a fact that when Hartmann was behind the microphone, their name was much more glorious, yet that doesn’t necessarily mean something for the present of the band as it’s all a matter of timing and, of course, of a matter of what fans prefer the most.
\r\nAt Vance are still based on this well known Neoclassical Power metal style, with explosive solos, strong rhythm section and with nice, melodic vocal lines from Rick Altzi, that are pretty much Jorn Lande-like on some spots. (and I like that a lot).
\r\nThe sixth song of the album “Vivaldi - Summer 2nd Set” could have been missing, in my opinion, because, even though the band’s performance is excellent, it pretty much seems to be “off topic” compared to the rest of the songs of the album. (It’s in the middle of the album)
\r\nThe album may be predictable enough, but what really matters is weather the compositions are good or not. In which case, “Ride the Sky” is not just a good album, it’s a killer album!\r\n
