Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force - Perpetual Flame

Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force - Perpetual Flame

\r\nI believe that there was a great amount of expectation for this release by many of us. Yngwie Malmsteen joined forces with Tim Owens, which is something that I consider to be one the most important facts of the year. Despite the fact that I had some doubts about this collaboration, after the hearing of “Perpetual Flame”, Yngwie made me reconsider
\r\nSo, the album features twelve tracks (the Japanese version contains also an bonus DVD), mr Malmsteen sounds once again more aggressive and owns a more “metal” sound and compositions , something that he keeps on doing after the release of the “Alchemy” album in comparison with his mid 90’s releases.
\r\nAnyone who has at least once listened to a Malmsteen release , he knows for sure what to expect by this album, a great virtuoso guitar playing, many neo classical passages, high speed solos and well written compositions that I dare to say that must be the most inspired compositions in the last years.
\r\nTim Owens’ voice, suits the band’s music style perfectly and gives a more “aggressive” and “metal” essence to the whole album. It seems that this is one of the few times in Malmsteen’s career, that Yngwie gives space to his vocalist; hence the album sounds very balanced. Once again there are some instrumental tracks and the track that Yngwie does the vocals.
\r\nIn Conclusion, I believe that the album is beyond any expectation of malmsteen’s fans and one of his best releases for the few past years. The album will be out on the 14th of October 2008.
